Kicking off my Balkans journey from my first stop in Slovenia - Ljubljana.

Why Ljubljana? I don't know, really. While I was planning my big Balkans journey, all I want is to travel via Croatia and all the way to the west of Turkey. Though the plan didn't work that way at the end, it seems like Slovenia would be a good start to explore the peninsula, as well as the ex-Yugoslavia state.

And there I was, meeting up with my Couchsurfing host Miha and his dog Happy.

Miha, is such a master chef with big dreams. I can't believe I had a meal cooked by

a fellow student of Gordon Ramsay.

Apparently I am the fifth of the few Hong Kong travellers that have been here.

(at least passing this map outside a Rakija shop)

Miha The Master Chef from Ljubljana

(Left) Apart from walking up the castle for an extraordinary view of the city, Miha brought me to a sky bar where you can oversee the castle.

"Razveseliti" - Cheers for my first Rakija

(Right) Being in Ljubljana, I had my first taste of the mixed culture of Balkans x Hungarian food. Goulash, burek, rakija...etc.

First Time Paragliding

Staying for only 2 days, I decided to make the best of it by experiencing my very first paragliding. To be honest, it wasn't that scary as I imagined, it was more like sliding off from the cliff, no jumping required. Flying from 1220m, I think I am mentally prepared for my next #skydiving challenge.

Overseeing the lake and mountains in Ljubljana, I regret that I didn't rent a boat to paddle across Lake Bled.

Hvala
